hahahaha, NO, MASAKO BEING NARU'S SISTER IS LAME.

We should just have a Naru x Masako pairing, and Mai being Naru's sister. WAY BETTER.

Good Lord, this one was freaky. This episode and the last one were the most scary so far. I wonder where this will go. (btw, I'm for the NaruXMai pairing, and Masako hopefully being Naru's sister XD)

For minerva, spam karma is being an idiot and I got your messages back from there. No worries, it just takes a while for me to check the very occasional failing of the comments ><

Hey DJ goodie I'm not too off on this. As far as it goes maybe this guy heard of Bathory or this kind of possibilities due to the western culture's introduction to Japan. Apparently in bathory's case was the tub and the iron maiden hung up to function as a shower.
BTw can u guys read my posts? they seem to get cut or blocked :(

It's interesting that the idea of this stories might come up from the Winchester house story, although there are no such "vampiric" creatures inside that house.

As for Mai, it would seem that her "dreamseer" ability would still be growing, from the fact that she can gave Masako her good luck charm "key" that she brought with her in her pocket while she met Masako in her dream.
And in the next story Mai can also use the Fudoumyou Mantra and Kuji that is taught to her quite nicely while the group had to repel an attack from a group of....well..."zombies" .

After watching 20 I went back and rewatched this episode. Ahh the clues were all there dammit.

I totally glossed over what the man was saying at the end, dismissing it as the voice of those who had died.

But now I realise the guy saying he didn't want to die was the freak killing all those people. Minerva you're idea is looking even more likely.

And oops I screwed up on Bathory, she did indeed bathe in the blood, supposedly, not drink it. Sorry getting my legends mixed up.

Actually hubby-sama had the Bathory figure from the Todd McFarlane collection. We got a tidy sum for that one, but not as much as the $500 someone paid for his Patrick Roy figure. But now I'm getting off the topic.

Go Mai!

"When I was cringing through Mai’s nightmare, it occured to me that this dream-seer’s ability of hers might be very useful, but it is also very dangerous for an amateur like her. Without sufficient guidance or training, Mai might begin to lose grip on the difference between dream and waking, and if she suffers from a tremendously violent and traumatising dream…"

That's a very interesting point. I think at some point they are going to have to touch upon how all this affects Mai.

Btw, when I started watching this case, the first thing that came to mind was Fatal Frame, though this one's more like the work of a mad doctor than a group of morbid cultists.

Btw my understanding of the murders is that someone, or rather by now something, needed a lot of blood to survive. Whether it consumes the blood, injects it into its body or not, I don't know, but my theory is that it might be using bloodbaths to sustain itself abeit barely. The corpse-like creature doesn't look very healthy, and most vampires are known to be very rosy after meals. Another possibility may be that it is using the body parts of others to replace whatever that had decayed or malfunctioned. Those who have played Diablo 2 may be reminded of Radament the Fallen, who was pretty much doing the same thing.
