Well, you are right at that point by using Kate as a bait. Hmmm, that is possibly true even though the trauma for many is great, especially when we are dealing with two extremely weak-willed girls in Rose and Rachel. I mean, even Claire is not really a strong willed girl and Kate is just about the only person you can truly rely on to make a difference.

I just do not know what more to expect. I simply pray hard for them, since they no longer have the illusion of hiding behind a "crusader" mask but a true sense of a murderer.

Herve smiled because he needed to find Animus if he was to dispel the curse, he used Kate as a bait but that hardly proves he was telling the truth. The Animus members seem to suffer from a similar condition as the girls but they don't seem despaired. Maybe they are in their original bodies, though. But in any case, trying to make Kate see the futility of the battle might also be achieved with a lie.

And sure it's sad but millions of soldiers have come through similar experience so at least some of the four girls should make it. Not that I would be complaining if it ends with a terribly depressing finale, provided it's well done.

I actually would believe him simply of one point. It is the very fact that he is working not for his clan, or for Kate's clan, but simply to work for Anna's survival. In that case, it will be better for him to tell the real truth in order to make the girls see how fruitless the battle will be for them.

Another thing is the fact that he smiled when Lula and JC appeared. It is clear that he knows that they are definitely in the area (very sure of that) and eavesdropping on the conversation (not sure), so it does make sense to force the girls to know the truth.

I honestly do not know where the girls will actually move for this series, since they have been told that they are fighting for a cause. What cause is it now, if either side is wrong? It becomes like war, where the fight is no longer righteous or anything, but for sheer survival against another victim.

It's sad.

I really wouldn't take everything Herve says as gospel truth, he has shown he can manipulate people and play with their feelings. Plus, there might be a way to get the girls back to normal which is not known to Herve (and yes, that would be a cop out). And even is there is no hope, the girls might want to fight to get revenge on Herve and his clans and maybe on Animus too. I love the unpredictability of this show.
