Louise isn't about to displace Lafiel as my favorite tsundere, but the Louise-Saito relationship was a lot of fun to watch. Louise could be annoying at times, but knowing deep down she was insecure thanks to being picked on as a "zero" at magic her whole life made her character much more sympathetic for me. Tabitha seemed to be the only side character with an interesting background, but maybe we'll see more in the second season. And I had the same thought after the first episode, that scene with everyone with their wands out in the courtyard could have been lifted straight out of Harry Potter... It may surprise you, but the comedy is not really the focus of the novels. Drama and epic adventure is more suiting in describing it. Heroes will rise AND fall in the ZnT novels. The school is merely the beginning. War( and the pathos associated with it) is the real meat of the story. Oh, and Seista( is Love) is ^10x more aggressive in the novels.
