I don't think he has planned his escape because he is close to death. The question on who rescued him will be an interesting one and it might be slowly resolved in the 2nd season, i feel.

@13sugars: i think shuurie wept over Sakujun because she feels responsible and that she has developed new feelings for him. Otherwise, she wouldn't hide her tears from seiran if the tears are simply from sympathy.

who the hell rescued sakujun then? I think sakujun is too shrewd to be left vulnerable, so he might have plan his escaped. But then again, Reishin and Seiran are quiet devious themselves. Anything goes i guess!

this episode disappointed me. :(

Impz: meant to mention this earlier... "shipping," in this context, comes from "relationship," creating a slang verb out of a noun. It's pairing two characters together in a [romantic] relationship, often non-canon pairs. It's fanfiction slang, really.

(I double-checked it in urbandictionary.com, so I think that's right. Very useful site. ^^)

Actually, we did try to have a preview/edit button, only to realize that it does lag sometimes when you do the typing, which is also troublesome. I mean, the letters do not even appear when I do the preview and it's certainly sad because Impz is not the tech person in this blog. That distinction goes to Mr Admin. Still, we will see what we can do but it might not be implemented too soon ><

@Apex: I bet Shuurei will go like...WHAT IN THE HELL AND turn all violent to whack him. Still, it is perhaps for a long time before we next see Sakujun, if we do see him in the first place.

@13sugars: I am trying to comment about your comment but found no other words to say. I just find that it is perhaps a little bit of romance brewing in Shuurei's heart rather than none at all. You are also not a closet Seiran x Shuurei fan. It's pretty blatant actually, ahaha~

No, i will not join your dark side. Masako forever!

I meant "compared to the 'four' I mentioned." (sighs) The metric system is so confusing. I also second Apexantapex's request for a preview/edit button. ^^

With all that was said and mentioned, I have a feeling that Sakujun and Shuurei won’t ever cross paths at all even if he isn’t dead. Although, I do think Sakujun will do stuff from the shadows and probably leave tiny traces of his existence so that Shuurei will be reminded of him.

As for the intensity of Shuurei’s feelings toward Sakujun being more than her feelings toward Ryuuki and Seiran, I think it’s highly doubtful. I’ve always had this impression that Shuurei finds Sakujun attractive, bold and unique but never to the point that she would fall for him. I just can’t seem to get that sort of vibe between the two although Sakujun did fall for Shuurei. I didn’t notice the lingering look or the no-resistance-when-being-kissed. I’ve always thought that Shuurei wanted to know more about Sakujun just like she wanted to know more about Ryuren or Kourin or Eigetsu or Ensei. The only difference is that Sakujun is so much better looking than the three I mentioned. Same goes for her weeping. Shuurei feels somewhat responsible for Sakujun’s death by not being able to do anything to save him. Her curiosity and compassion for the people she meets are no different than her curiosity and compassion of Sakujun. As for the kissing thing, I doubt any girl would push or reject a kiss from a familiar gorgeous guy who is obviously dying before her. I’ve always seen this pair as having the unrequited love. But that’s just me.

And it’s very true about Seiran, no matter how one looks at the whole thing, it seems to be that Seiran will not be the one to win Shuurei’s heart. Btw, I’m a closet Shuurei x
Seiran fan. ^^

As for Kou Hojou/Kijin (happily fangirls and faints) Move not, while my prayers’ effect I take. (lol).^^ Isn’t he just perfect? The only Saiunkoku character whom I will consider giving up Seiran for. But what the heck! I’ll take ‘em both. ^^

And Mr. Impz, compared to your other scary necrophiliac readers, I’m so much tamer. So join us in the Mai x Naru love alliance.

Huh. I wonder how Shuurei will react when Sakujun reappears... because, yeah, he's so not dead. Habeas corpus!

If her emerging feelings are any indication, there will be tears of relief; if her past actions are any indication, there will be fists of rage. ^_^ *That* is going to be one really good episode.

I kind of wished that was the end of him -- even though I did perversely like him -- because I'd like to see her advance her relationship with Ryuuki or Seiran, and as was said before, that was a dramatically beautiful death. (have yet to see it tho, still 6 eps behind)

Not that it matters or anyone cares, but in a past entry I mentioned Rou Ensei when I meant Kou Reishin. And I was trying so heard to keep them all straight in my head. Sigh.

As always, thanks for the summary. They're nice to look forward to in addition to episode releases.

@Lamb: I honestly do wonder about the emotions overlapping since it is clear that the feelings that Shuurei feels about Sakujun is much more intense compared to the emotions she feels with Ryuuki and Seiran. Yes, the three are similar in some ways but in her eyes, they are pretty different.

I got a feeling that she will be more open since she realizes that knot in her heart.

@Ricaryx: Oh, he didn't? SPOILER!! just kidding but I guess it's taken for granted that if you do not see any body, it means no death as yet. Seiran, no matter how you think about it, looks like the one that will be forsaken.

I wonder how he will take it when Sakujun comes back and I hardly think that the stupid drama is really stupid since it does solve several things and explores the deeper emotions of Shuurei and Seiran. I see the both of them developing very well as characters, fleshed out with weaknesses rather than perfect beings.

I 'heard' that in the novel Sakujun didn't die, and I have a good feeling that he really is alive. Maybe a new evil character rescued him. All those stupid drama for nothing XD I feel bad for Seiran in this episode. I feel like Shuurei neglected him.:( Didn't she notice that he was unconscious in the carriage? She didn't even ask why he was unconscious. I do think Shuurei has feelings for Sakujun, or else she won't cry or be hung up on him like that. I don't care who Shuurei falls in love with anymore at this point. Sakujun, Ryuuki, or Seiran--they all have good impressions on me. I just don't want to see Seiran being neglected. It pains me to see him like that. *tears* It's like how I get worked up over Haji in Blood+ whenever Saya forgets that he exists despite all the things he's done for her.

She didn’t even ask why he was unconscious. I do think Shuurei has feelings for Sakujun, or else she won’t cry or be hung up on him like that. I don’t care who Shuurei falls in love with anymore at this point. Sakujun, Ryuuki, or Seiran–they all have good impressions on me. I just don’t want to see Seiran being neglected. It pains me to see him like that. *tears* It’s like how I get worked up over Haji in Blood+ whenever Saya forgets that he exists despite all the things he’s done for her.

I agree, Shuurei is unbelievably cute as a kid!

In regards to the Sakujun deal, there is a good chance that he may not be dead (but he could have also really physically died), and if he really hasn't he probably won't show up for a while, seeing as this is continuing to a second season, it'll probably be a few episodes away (right when we least expect it). So really, you're not being paranoid at all. I also like the idea that there's a third party involved in the Sakujun's body disappearing deal...

I actually think that due to the emotions that she's experiencing because of Sakujun, Shuurei could go in two directions: either open up more, thus returning more love to those around her (Ryuuki etc.), or she's going to be even more guarded, because the emotions that she's feeling kind of crept up on her, so she may think that she needs to be more guarded to protect herself from being picked (so she'll have more 'thorns' than before). Also, since Sakujun is stuck so firmly in her mind, and Ryuuki and Sakujun are really similar, the emotions that she feels for them may overlap? Just a thought...

@Ayla: Shipping? I do not understand the term too much.

@Jetaime: I do wonder if he will be missed for any longer, since after this arc, it is likely that Ryuuki will appear more especially after this. I am sure he will find some reason to meet up with her, considering his complete devotion.

@Wontaek: Same idea completely. I find that I only believe someone is dead when the body is seen. Sometimes, even seeing the body does not mean that the character is dead (Aizen in Bleach for a bleach reference), though that is quite rare. Sakujun is a good anti-thesis hero/villain that should have an appearance to shake Shuurei's resolve later. I think he will.

Yes, I will not be surprised if he appears, though it will not be any time soon in my opinion. What if he turns to be the vicious ally? Woot!

@Laughing: That makes three of us :)

@DJ: In my opinion, it must be someone that we have not seen at all. I mean, I cannot think of any other characters that can be taking Sakujun away unless it is something warped on the grounds where Reishin found Sakujun, kept him alive and sadistically brainwashed him for pure sadistic delight. I think that might work out...somehow.

@Maria: On your first sentence, okkkkkkk. I didn't know some of my readers has that form of fetish. Scary!

I believe that he will return, simply because the author had the foresight to wrap up a plot situation that happens like 30 over episodes ago, which really shows that the author knows what is going on. In that case, it will be little wonder if he returns. I am sure of it and I do wonder what his re-appearance will cause Shuurei to feel. I think she has reached the stage where she is not madly in love but has feelings for Sakujun to the extent that she is thinking of him actively. The last thing that Seiran ever wants is coming true. Oh no!!!

Bwa ha ha. Sakujun is alive. Or some necrophile took his body to fulfil their disgusting fetish. EWWWWWW. lol

I think when Sakujun became unconscious some evil dude/dudette or some good-two-shoes took him away to de-poison him. Though I was disappointed at first that my favorite death scene isn't a death scene anymore, I'm glad that Sakujun has a chance of entertaining us more in the future. Perhaps the author of the original novel loved Sakujun too much to get rid of him so early. Whatever the reason, I'm happy. My favorite villain has more screen time coming up, yay! Or that is what I hope.

Thanks Impz for your summary. I'm really glad that you updated us. I agree with you about Shuurei's feelings. She does have some feelings for him and there was no resistance in the last kiss scene. Like she said to Seiran, even though she doesn't want to react to Sakujun, his face is so nice that her heart beats fast for him. lol. The power of a bishounen.

Well, can't wait till your next summary. Take care. Peace.
