the novel illustrations and the anime are both good, and the current manga is close enough… but really, both extremes of the images (first manga and movie) *shudder*

I don’t understand the lack of love for the movie. It’s clearly the superior version. And could Itsuki BE more bishounen? I think not.

Sarcasm aside, interesting comparisons. In some cases there’s almost a linear progression of refinement to the anime versions – to my uneducated eye anyway.

Yeah the novel illustrations are not bad; they have a rather soft look to them and are quite similar to the anime.

Anime and novel illustrations (Noizi Ito is godly) are top-notch here with the current manga designs coming in second.

lol, mikuru totally doesn’t look like mikuru in the cancelled manga. looks more like some cheerleader or some sorts.

I think Yuki got the worst deal of all. Itsuki and Ryouko are the only ones that look decent in the original manga.
