Once upon a time in the dreaded world of the non-anime universe, a little boy by the name of Impz was unstained, innocent and unknown to the ways of anime. As the innocent boy is exposed to anime, there was light. His world opened, with light appearing into his life. However, that light is sudden, painful and most importantly, disturbing.

There was but one obstacle to this. He did not have the necessary material to transform like a mahou shoujo girl. Like all anime lovers, the proof of authority as an anime watcher is to have merchandise and lots of it. He had professed to himself that he will one day reach the heaven of anime otakuness, in which to gain enlightenment.

That was when the chance arrived…The chance to earn a Hellsing DVD. The chance of a lifetime. It is a chance that he cannot lose. That was when he met the man, a mysterious man called M. (who should never be mistaken to be Maestro). The story starts, with the campaign of Impz with the interaction of this man, who is only known as M…

Impz was told about the opportunity to earn this Hellsing contest by a friend named Aurabolt. He knew that he was but a weak being, unlike many other more experienced journeymen who have came, seen and conquered whatever was there. He knew very well that he did not have enough credibility to call out to the man, M. However, his heart still went on and cried out the reason why he wanted it.

Impz: It is my wish, kind sir, to learn about the mysteries of owning a DVD. After seeing others before me hitting euphoria over their purchase, I have learnt that as an anime reviewer, it is of need to at least own something that is anime related. I have nothing that can achieve this greatness (especially this certain lack of MONEY!) and I want to own something of worth. Hellsing is hence my key to success in the anime world! If I can earn this honor, I will no longer have to hide beyond the darkness of my shadows. I can proudly proclaim that I am no longer a potaku, but a man that has something of value, something that is earned honestly through my two hands!

The mysterious man, M, did not speak. He simply stood there, with his eyes glaring as maliciously as Alucard. He is clearly not satisfied. The only thing that was heard in the wind was a simple phrase, one that was mysterious yet haunting.

Mysterious man: The bird of my Hermes is my name, eating my wings to make me tame.

Impz did not know what that meant. Did the man want to eat some hot spicy chicken wings, especially from a bird called Hermes in order to make him tame? It was abstract and something that the slight man cannot understand. Impz cannot understand the complexity of this cooking technique by a vampire conversation. Still, he knew he had to proof himself more to the mysterious man.

Impz: Kind sir, I know I have not the esteem to speak to you. Yet, I will like to tell you the next reason why I wanted the DVD. It is of my wish to have a relief figurine. I know of the masters such as Tsubaki and Riuva who have understood the wonders of figurines. I have known of the DVD having a beautiful relief figurine compiled within the package of this awesome Hellsing Ultimate. I will do anything, even doing a full review of the DVD if I do receive it, kind sir! I know that it is hard for a man of international upbringing to receive it, but I will pay the price for the sacrifice. It is my belief.

The mysterious man, M, continued his silence. The silence continued for a few seconds before he mouthed out the following words.

Mysterious man: Of what, your claim to being chosen? Of the many that are borne of this world of anime seekers of truth, why you?

Impz was in a loss of words. For now, he had only thought of why he wanted it. Everyone yearned for dreams that will never be fulfilled. Many in the anime realm worked hard to gain what they want, only to fall at the last hurdle. Why him? Why him? Impz asked himself and a voice spoke to him. It was a distinct voice, one that was calm and peaceful. It was his heart that had spoken as he opened out his mouth. When the words flowed out, it was no longer him, yet it was him.

Impz: I believed that my quest has brought joy and laughter to all. They have been reading and following my quest to earn such a feat. Even though I am not as capable, I have the belief that my joyful way of constructing my plea will translate into acceptance. I believe it in my heart that it will happen. If it is not, it is simply that my faith is not strong enough. However, I believed that it will be done. Whatever will be, will be. Que Sera Sera.

The mysterious man simply looked at Impz in the eye, staring intensely through those timeless globes of his.

Mysterious man: Do you have another reason why you should be the chosen one?

Impz simply smiled.

Impz: One day, in the years to come, I am sure that my descendants, the people that will inherit my strength, will repeat this tale of destiny, courage and pride to the world. For now, this is but a conversation for both of us but I believe that humor in the post as well as the creativity put into this post will bring about the second coming. That is why I have confidence that if my descendant, a descendant of Impz, is to come into the realm of a contest, he can use his humor, creativity and wit in any form of contest..

Silence once again permeated between the space of the two men. When the mysterious man next spoke, the tone was gentle and kind.

Mysterious man: You might wait. Waiting is of the virtue of wise men. The decision is not for you, yet have faith, young one. You might not have the force within, but you will one day reach it. Wait for the announcement.
