   Thank you so much for the summary!

   You’re right there was just so much going on in this episode and its one of the things I really like about this show, in that there is a lot going on all the time it seems. Even stuff we don’t see onscreen (such as Ryuuki’s planning).

   And the budding romance between Kourin and Eigetsu is just so cute to watch I can’t help but smile.

   Its also interesting to note Shuurei saying that Sakujun was forcing her to face romantic feelings. Hehe maybe there’s hope for Ryuuki yet! If Shuurei doesn’t end up with Sakujun (I sure hope not) then perhaps he can at least open the door for Ryuuki by making Shuurei confront the fear in her heart and thereby allowing her to feel romantic feelings towards someone.

   I like you would really have liked to see her together with Seiran but this episode really cemented their relationship as a brother and sister one for me.

   The guy’s name isn’t Chuushou, it’s Kokujun. I think Chuushou was the elder son.

   That, in a way, is one of few problems of the series. You don’t see the spread of talent you see in normal lives.

   Aww man, Seiran and Shuurei. Sorry, let me ramble here. I realized that I think it’s better for them to be this way, and plus the fact that there’s no other woman Seiran adores in the world other than Shuurei makes it all better for me. I think their relationship is more than bro/sis type BUT less than lovers. It’s innocent and special, and that’s what makes them so cute. Sometimes, I even see Shuurei treating Seiran more like a servant than a big brother. Seiran puts Shuurei on a pedestal and treats her more like a princess than a little sister. They’re both dependent on each other and cherishes one another, but there’s no malice. They can live together forever like that and they’ll be content hahaha Like I said, more than bro/sis but less than lovers.

   It was nice seeing Seiran act different in this episode though. If there are developments in this episode, his character is one of them. Wasn’t he depressed and avoiding Shuurei earlier in the episode? Then he got all awkward/flustered around Shuurei while having tea. It was only when he found out who’s number one that he reverted back to his usual self and got all ‘brotherly’ again. Besides, Ensei keep teasing him to Shuurei. Ensei–someone who knows Seiran very well–keeps treating them like an item (I mean with all those eavesdropping, afraid-to-interrupt-act kinda treatment). No matter what the truth is. You’d think if he sensed that Seiran doesn’t have anything else for Shuurei then why would Ensei keep pounding on that idea? lol

   Even if I don’t know about Shuurei, I think this episode just goes to show me that Seiran won’t have any problems falling for her if it ever comes to that. If ever.

   On another note,I certainly hope we see more of purple boy in the coming episodes. Ryuuki and Seiran need to really kick Sa Sakujun’s butt. And for some reason, I like Kourin with Yougetsu better.

   what was i thinking T_T it’s kokujun ….Meh, i must be dizzy with all the writing (will change it right now). Chuushou is in fact the brother of Sa Taiho while Kokujun is the right person. Man, so embarassing and thanks L-chan for correcting it

   Thank you so much for these detailed summaries! They’re not at all boring, but better for being longer. I like the idea of Kourin and Eigetsu, but I love Shuurei and Seiran interactions. I’m pretty sure that Shuurei and Ryuuki will be the final pairing, but I still hold hope for Seiran and enjoy the moments between him and Shuurei.

   度日如年，望眼欲穿 refers to one’s emotion when they’re waiting for something. First part of it means each day passes by as if its a year (how slow the days are).. The second part literally means staring into something so long that eyes would go blind… I’m sure you can make something along that line up..

   I’ll go home and watch this epi, before I comment anything on the story / characters…

    thankies, babypris, I think i threw my chinese back to my teachers in secondary school. Hah. In a way, Saiunkoku Monogatari is forcing me to re-learn chinese, which is a good thing nevertheless. Thanks, i will add it in later when i have some time.

    Where did you get the chinese subbed? I searched on youtube, only found the raw version… =( But it alright, good chance to learn jap. hehe..

    I think the chinese version might be missing this part (quite important I think)… At the end when Shuurei was falling asleep, she mummbled about getting her hair pin back, and asked Seiran not to worry about it since it’s her problem. She dosed off after asking Seiran not to spoil her too much. Ensei went inthe kitchen, mentioned that Shuurei don’t know how much Seiran spoilt her, saying how Seiran must have 3 people closed to him (Hime-san, Shouka-san, and Ensei) or else he wouldn’t be able to sleep / eat. Also they mentioned that Shuurei’s uncle (Kou’s clan head) is not doing anything… I wonder why… or perhaps I got the translation wrong.. haha..

    Anyway, *sighzzzz* Not too happy as this is the first time Shuurei actually said a guy’s good looking (Sakujun).. How can she not think Ryuuki is good lookingg??? AHHHHH…..

    babypris: hahahahaha! I think it is because Ryuuki clowned around so much, unlike Sakujun who is physically very forward. I mean, if you have someone who clowns around like a kid, you won’t see him as good looking. However, if one is in fact trying so hard to get close to you physically, you will be forced to notice, no. *yes, i can hear the ryuuki fangirl in you surging!*

    Impz: haha, yes, Ryuuki fangirl in fact! =) Says who that Ryuuki is not “physically very forward”… he kissed Shuurei couple of times, and said to her “I don’t want anyone else but you”…. I think the innocent/kiddy part of Ryuuki makes him cuter… ahhh *melting….* =P

    I think that Shuurei still confused about Ryuuki true identity if he is really a gay or what..so that why she compared Sakujun and Ryuuki…If Ryuuki tell her about pretending to like men maybe Shuurei will be faithfull to him…

    well, i guess ryuuki puts it off more as ….child-like, rather than really sexually assualting her >______>;;; Maybe.

    Irene: I think Shuurei already knew @_@;;; In fact, she fears having romantic feelings with Ryuuki, as that means she has to forego her dream. I guess Ryuuki understood it, which is why he allowed her to go. That is sure tough love.

    Thanks for the translation! I watched on YouTube without subs. Arrgh, can imagine how frustrating it is! Where do you get your anime with the chinese subs anyway?

    I like Seiran and Shuurei the way they are. I think their love is the bro-sis type and will never be lovers that’s why Ensei feels safe to tease Seiran about Shuurei. Perhaps if Seiran becomes serious about the girl he loves, Ensei wouldn’t be teasing?

    And I’m definitely rooting for Ryuuki and Shuurei. ^.^

    @lys: It is perhaps the innoence of Ryuuki that endears him to most fans of Saimono, I am very sure. Sigh, I do hope it progresses more than brotherly-sisterly love…CAn it, can it?

    @Sadiligal: I am sure they will. They are a really cute pairing and one that has ACTUAL ROMANTIC GROUNDS.

    wow thanks fer the detailed summary.. actually i’ve just started watching the anime and was kinda disappointed because the episodes are not subbed in english from ep. 27 onwards..
    i’m fine with reading chinese, but that’ll take a longer time to read… and besides that, the chinese subbed anime cannot be found on http://www.youtube.com
    i guess i’ll just have to wait patiently for the subbed versions to be uploaded :p

    no problem aldora. I actually do the detailed summary so that people who cannot understand raws can use the summary to guide them in the viewing for them who really cannot wait at all.

    Ahahaha~ i guess Just remember that youtube is starting to clamp down on uploaders on anime and all sorts of copyrighted material…so the chance of getting it is lower these days X_X

    UGH! Saiunkoku is a drug! O _ O must…have…more….Silliness aside though, you guys are killing me with all the “seiran/shuurei are like brother and sister” thing (mainly because the evidence presented is just so compelling!) I used to be a Shuurei/Ryuuki shipper but, overtime, it slowly turned into Shuurei/Seiran. I just LOVE those two together! =’( …although if Ryuuki would become a regular in the show once again, perhaps I would revert? Geez, I’m so fickle! XD Anyways, I love your blog – it provides me with my Saiunkoku fix in between episodes, and it’s just entertaining overall…yah, I think I’ll just stop now XD
