Masako…got raped.
No…No, i am kidding. She simply got shoved down by a hand down the stairs. Poor one, it almost seemed that she suffered from some fall every single arc. Nice episode generally. Many technical details will be covered.

Summary

As we continued on, everyone was going around in order to excorize the classrooms, even though it seemed that there were no spirits around. Kasei was at the corridor looking at Masako observing the area. Mai then saw Kasei as Kasei asked whether the other people in the party had found anything, particularly noting whether Masako had sensed anything malicious. However, Mai said what Masako had said about having nothing and mouthing that Shibuya was an Onmyouji. Kasei looked very disturbed and worried, and with the appearance of Shibuya, she ran off, only to bump into one of the teachers.
Back at the headquarters, they were talking about Kasei, as they analyzed that Kasei probably thought of them as enemies. Shibuya also talked about various types of ESP (will cover in thoughts). They then said that for someone with great spiritual ability, it was quite impossible to have that much strength to cause such a curse.
We then got the news that the teacher Kasei bumped into got involved in a car accident and the teacher was mumbling that Kasei had cursed him. The whole school realized it as a few gals surrounded Kasei and told her to stop it. They also condemned the biology teacher that was always protecting her. Everyone continued on their spiritual hunting as Mai started to wonder if the room she was in had a ghost.

Shibuya then came into the room, with a spirit glaring at Shibuya with fiery eyes. Mai was extremely scared but the monk came in just in time, chasing away the spirit. Mai then related to her dream of ghost fire and the next day, it seemed that Shibuya had a staring session with the ghost, resulting in him not sleeping for the whole night. They then discussed about the possibilities of this occurrence, saying that to maintain this curse using merely spiritual energy was impossible. The others then talked about the possibility of a voodoo doll.
Shibuya then realized that there was a possibility that there was a special strain of voodoo dolls where they would curse whatever their curse was embodied to. The doll will be stabbed with dolls and spirits as well as other evil beings would be called upon by the doll, wherever it was placed to curse. Hence, someone who placed this curse in the school knew that the spirits were not powerful enough to kill but could torture and torment. All of them then placed the blame on Kasei, since she was the one that was blamed by everyone. However, Mai said without any evidence that she believed in Kasei.
Shibuya said he trusted her just this once and they went to search for the dolls. They indeed found a doll on the desk where four gals had their arms injured with train accidents, as well as one in the sports department. Suddenly, we see a cut scene of Masako moving around, only to be pushed down the stairs by a hand…

Thoughts
According to the episode, there were two types of special ability, ESP (extrasensory perception) and PK (Psychokinesis). ESP is the ability to sense out of the extraordinary, such as clairvoyance. PK is the ability to gather spiritual energy within the mind in order to affect matter.
They then further described PK into three types, PKMT, PKST and PKLT (which I have no clue what are the full names). My presumption is that PKMT means PK on moving things, PKST means PK on stationary things while PKLT means PK on living things. It seems to fit the description. PKST is the ability to force energy on stationary objects (like spoon bending), PKMT is the ability to force energy onto moving objects (like dice rolling) while PKLT is the ability to force energy onto living objects.
This was the explanation given earlier by Shibuya, as he was telling Mai about the various kinds of energy. The monk then said it was impossible for the girl to have so much spiritual power int he form of PK in which to evoke such a mass curse on the whole school. He then noted a famous person that could move a 50 kg object using sheer telekinesis but unable to do what would happen in the school.
Back to the story proper, it seemed that the cause was definitely the voodoo doll, only that they have to find all the voodoo dolls. In fact, there was one voodoo doll that was implanted that was targeting Shibuya, which was why the spirit was staring and finding Shibuya all the time. The thing now is who is the one doing all these dolls and planting them at all areas of the school.
If you ask me, I do not think it is Kasei. It will be extremely dumb for Ghost Hunt to have Kasei being the culprit. I feel that the culprit was in fact the teacher that was protecting her all the time. I however, have no reason why I am suspecting her. I guess it is a gut feeling of sorts because shows usually make the person that is guilty in this the most innocent, yet somewhat relating to the incident. The only person that is possibly in this category is the teacher, hence my view on it.
Kasei might or might not know anything about it but my feeling tells me she has a slight inkling on the situation, though not being too clear as she was trying to solve her innocent name. Her “curse” in front of school was simply a ruse for whoever was hiding in the scenes to do everything this way and he/she who was in the shadows would never be suspected of this at all.
Mai returns with a few funny faces once again and it is interesting to see the different kinds of faces she can do. Tee hee. I await the conclusion of this arc. It will be interesting for sure.

Thanks again Impz. The whole PK system is all the more fascinating for it being real. PK-LT for example is also knows as Bio-PK.
Poor Masako, she does seem to attract physical violence doesn’t she. Thing is, I can’t really understand why she was targeted as it was Naru who was the biggest threat to whoever was behind the plot. Ho-hum guess we’ll find out tomorrow.
Sonhex added these pithy words on Nov 27 06 at 3:57 pmOn the PK’s, you were correct except for PK-MT which is PK on metal things, thus, the spoon bending. “Moving things” would qualify under PK-LT, PK on living things.
