Naruto: Hurricane Chronicles (ナルト：疾風
In the latest chapter of the Naruto manga (chapter 322), it has been announced officially that the Naruto fillers will finally be ending in Spring 2007 (YES!!!) which means the anime will return back to the manga storyline maybe in February when Spring actually starts in Japan, or in April which is usually when animes start their new season.
The Naruto anime has also been renamed as Naruto: Hurricane Chronicles. This reminds me of how Dragonball was renamed Dragonball Z at a turning point – imagine if Naruto was now called Naruto Z! But the reason for the new title is because of some new revelation about Naruto which I won’t spoil here for those who are anime-watchers only. Those who read the manga will probably be able to figure it out easily.
To go along with this announcement, they have been busy with releasing stuff that’s related to Part 2. There is also a 4th Naruto movie to be released and it will be set in the Part 2 timeline. There’s also a new PS2 game based on Part 2 characters, and also a new card game with revised rules and Part 2 characters, etc.
Interestingly, the starter packs for that card game will be released on the 15th February which is also the day Naruto normally airs…hmmm is it just coincidence? Lastly, anime merchandise shops in Japan have now started to sell Part 2 related Naruto merchandise – t-shirts, key-chains, clear files, posters, etc.

Looks like the fillers will finally end, after 2 years and close to a hundred episodes on.
Come to think of it, it isn’t actually that long, considering the manga is only about 100 or so odd chapters ahead, catching up within a year is a possibility and we’ll have fillers agin soon.
But at least this is a nice break from what we’re actually getting heh. ^__^
Actually the official stats is that the fillers lasted 75 episodes and 1.5 years. But they were so shitty that it felt like an eternity lol!

Well, some of the fillers were actually good, like the one where they tried to rip off Kakashi’s mask.
Of course there were those too which made you feel like burning yourself in a fire, such as the “Curry of Life” arc.
But in any case, the official countdown begins. Here’s to the end of fillers ^__^
Is the one where they try to get Kakashi’s mask off the one where they are in a Ramen shop? If that’s the one, than it’s based on a omake from the manga, which makes it canon material.

the kakashi omake is from one of the official facts book I think. Not too sure about it. But yeah! the never-ending torment is finally coming to an end.

Seeing them all clad in their Time Skip clothes in anime style makes my fingers tingle :3
It makes much more sense to have a huge merchandising push to go along with this rather than just randomly starting up the manga arc for no particular reason. Some people were saying the fillers would never end, but that ddin’t make economic sense given the continued popularity of the manga. It will be fun to see these arcs animated. Here’s hoping for Feb 15th… wonder what the plot of that movie could possibly be. Do you think they held off on the “Hurricane Chronicles” thing until they reached the latest training arc?
This does seem to be quite possible since this announcement was made by Kishimoto so maybe he was in cahoots on the new release of Naruto anime. Or maybe he was also sick of seeing so many fillers affect the popularity of his series so he decided to create a settlement for starting the new Part 2 anime.

Well there’s really no info on that yet but episodes 214 and 215 are being aired together as a Christmas special so there is a slight possibility that it might be the Kakashi Gaiden.

it says on naruto tv that 2 episodes 214 and 215 airing 21 of dec “taking back reality” and “erasing the past”, and i thought this has gotta be kakashi gaiden. but~! on youtube preview it’s just another bloody filler! wth? when does kakashi gaiden air then???

They never mentioned if the Hurricane Chronicles begins with the Kakashi Gaiden or the Part 2 proper. For all we know the Kakashi Gaiden might be turned into an OVA or TV special.
It is supposed to air before naruto hurricane chronicles so you will see the Kakashi Gaiden first.
Do you guys know if orochimaru took over sasuke’s body, or did he kill orochimaru later on. I mean for real wat happened to sasuke after him and naruto fought, or do i have to wait til NHC.
Neither has happened. In fact up to the current manga chapter, Sasuke has not yet been taken over by Orochimaru.

whats the kakashi gaiden? After the fillers???
Kakashi gaiden is a side-story unrelated to the current manga storyline. It tells the backstory on how Kakashi got his Sharingan eye and was used as an ‘intermission’ between Part 1 and Part 2 of the manga.
Anime-wise, we have no real idea where it will be. Probably after the fillers is most likely, and before they show the Hurricane Chronicles.

I thought I was the only one who died while watching the “freaking I don’t give a flying crap” about the Curry of Life filler… I love curry seasoning but geez that was beyond over kill. I literally felt like shouting for joy when it ended. So glad I stick to reading the manga.

It’s been awhile since someone posted so… just an update hurricane chronicles starting today in Japan and we should have them translated by some time to night or Friday… the Kakashi gaiden doesn’t seem to be the starting point but we are getting a hour long special so be happy it’s over!! It’s really over!! O.o

Wow some of these comments where from along time ago! Since Sophitia has the latest comment this goes out to her. I so agree almost all of the fillers are disgusting, expecially when you have already seen them a million times! I do like the ones with Itachi though and the episode when they try to take Kakashi’s mask off. Does he ever reveal his face because I have seen pictures on google images of him without the mask on and it doesn’t look like someone drew it?

they found a way to make each episode in the seires longer. that method keeps it from catching up with the manga as easy, at the same time some weeks they dont even release an episode. and think about it, everything come to an end at some time. naruto wont go on forever, dont watch the anime in fear that it will catch up and fillers will start, just enjoy it while it last.
what i meant was in one episode they can fit half a chapter instead of 2 chapters for example….this may not be accurate but they figured a way to do it.
