It’s still early, but in my opinion, Gift has nosed ahead of Kanon 2006 for top eroge/dating sim conversion of Fall 2006. Stronger stories, likeable and better developed characters, and excellent music make up for deficiencies in animation.

As for the broader romance/drama genre? Looks like Asatte no Houkou is lapping the field.

yea, i am a shoujo lover (considering i am a guy is ermm…yea) and more on drama and the likes. So to me, deathnote does not appeal to me too much. I am watching the movie just for kicks by the way. =/

And i generally like to blog anime that is less blogged to give it more prominence. Some series should have more attention since they rock ^+^

If everyone was mezmorized by shounen jump, the anime/manga world would be a sad place with little diversity. But alas, we have you to not blog those shows; not a bad decision. The manga’s are so popular that the only things I’d see worth bloggin are comparisons.
I did like DeathNote, but D.Gray-man I couldn’t get into. Definitely do Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru, it looks really funny

Deathnote and d gray-man are great shows. I am not saying they suck. Just that they dont fit me. I should clarify it. In fact, all my friends are shocked that i say this.

mmm good points but hey, at least he’s watched them.. i’ve seen a couple of people who’ve claimed utter lack of interest and not even touched the series without even looking at it. interest is subjective.

imo deathnote and d.gray-man are pretty cool.. but only because i’ve been reading the manga so i’m not depending on the first episodes alone for a feeling of the series. as first episodes, they’re pretty sparse as an introduction.

You should really consider Cresent Love, even tho’ some blogs say its a really generic harem, Mia the Meido reminds me a lot of Siesta… Gawd… ^_^

lol, yea, i am just a deviant when it comes to this. Strangely, i am usually in the crowd when it comes to anime but i do not like deathnote and watching it makes me realize that i will not like it. I never did look forward but i was just forced by some friend to watch it, saying that since i like intectuall anime, i will love deathnote.

Surprise, surpise, i didn’t (even though i shocked my friend because he said that what i said i will do if i have a death god’s notebook is just like what the main character will do. Perhaps, it is the case of like repelling like.

Well, many people liked Eva, and i hated it too. So…….yea, i am strange, i know.

Anga and Cherryon just showed me how baka i am T_T

Yeah, Death Note is the Nirvana of anime… everybody likes it. Well, I loved the manga (until the infamous chapter 59 at least), and while I’m not sure whether I’d like the anime, I’m looking forward to it.

Hmm, no Death Note? If I with a very picky taste and hate towards almost everything shounen and dark consider it excellent it’s hard to believe someone doesn’t watch it at all…
