In no ways does it hint at further conflicts to come. . and the premise of a Saito/Louise pairing seems pretty solid (even thought in reality, it really isn't as much so until a little later). Hopefully the novels will be translated by fans (I think baka-tsuki is doing a ZnT novel project right now) or some company will pick it up and do it justice. I guess the same can be said for the SHnY series. . even though there seems to be a better chance for a second season with that show. There are still too many options for further plot development. I think that the first 13 eps just as a warm up for a major story arc. I mean we just "findout" that Louise is the void mage. Suffice to say, I really don't see a second season of Zero no Tsukaima coming along. It's definately possible, but if they do, they've already made some big deviations from the novel. It'll be fun though, and I'd still watch them if they came out, haha. They did change a lot.

And there's still some plot threads left open like the real mastermind behind everything and if Saito is ever going home or not.
