 |
Brief Summary: The episode begins with Ikki throwing a punch into the air. He spins, and hits Udou with a punch utilizing his centripetal force while taking Udou’s punch with the weights Rika gave him. Meanwhile, Agito and Akira throw their fangs, resulting in Agito losing. Ikki, having dispatched Udou, saves Agito using the Wing Road. The two knock Akira out. Akira, standing up on his last legs, injures Agito and Ikki before falling unconcious. Despite the odd results, Kogarasumaru is announced the winner much to the anger of the crowd. As if on cue, Wind’s G-men raid the plant grounds. Akira, Ren and Agito are cornered. Nue uses his Thunder Regalia to disarm the G-men. Despite the presence of numbers and kings, Akira voluntarily goes into custody for the sake of others and the AT scene. Agito/Akito is hospitalized and recieves a lot of visitors. The episode ends with a mysterious lady drugging Agito/Akito.
Evaluation: This episode wasn’t too bad. It capped off the Behemoth arc, which I find to be my favorite arc thus far in the entire storyline (unless SPOILER///////// Ikki’s faceoff with Ringo turns out big too ////////////////END SPOILER). Even though I feel the entire “standing while unconcious” idea a bit overplayed in shounen anime (Hajime no Ippo’s instances stand out in mind), it still presented Akira in a much different light than what I initially thought of him. Granted, we still don’t get much information about Ren, I assume that she was never ment to be a major character anyways.
Now it’s onward to see how the anime continues the story that the manga has laid forth for it, lol. I’m excited. To tell you the truth, I never thought I’d follow this series after watching the first couple of episodes. I thought it was too cheesy. . yet now I’m dying for the latest manga raws to find out what happens next.
Chapter 139 needs to come out! Must find out what happens. @_@

hey just wondering guys…what IS Air Gear about?? Heard alot about it, screenshots look pretty cool…is it worth the gig or so of hard drive space I need to download it? Compared to say, Fate/Stay Night. lol thanks guys. ^.^

The anime is basically your typical sports related shounen-style story, except it involves futuristic rollerblades. There are teams, just like the one the main character forms, and of course he turns out to be “legend” quality in that his abilities surpass those of normal characters.
And of course. . there’s also the hint of harem-ness. You get a slight feel for it, but it adds on later on (the anime hasn’t reached where the manga has so far).
It’s just a comedy/action type show. . I’d say, give the first few episodes a try and see if it rubs you the right way. Some people like it, some people hate it, lol.
